I attribute saving my sanity to two practices, writing and meditation. Writing is thinking and clarifying on paper. Meditation clears the weeds of overgrown thoughts, allowing healthy gardens to flourish, on the page and in life. I've written grants (talk about weeds), children's stories and articles, educational materials, longer works, and a lot of emails. I'm interested in the interplay between creative expression, healing, and a story well told that magically engages, informs, and transports readers.
